The poll for the 2010 Board of Governors has now closed.

Hamish Gibson withdraw before polls opened, leaving 17 candidates for 12 positions.

The successful candidates (in no particular order) are:

The ballot file may be downloaded here, and those of you who requested a receipt can verify that your vote was recorded correctly.

The count file may be downloaded here and shows the sequence in which the candidates were elected or eliminated.

You can verify the count by running the OpenSTV software yourself, or by analysing it directly. If you have any queries, please email me with details.

The people have spoken - The bastards! ;)

Seriously well done to all those who won; I'm sure that they'll do a good job. I'd like to know where those 110 people were in the hustings though... 8-)

I apologise for not voting in time. I missed it by 2 'clock' hours, 7 'actual' hours. No real excuse. Sorry.

Congratulations everyone, and much food for thought in the comments on the forum.
Also thanks for all the work on the OpenSTV software and the time people put in to make this vote possible in this way.
I am sure Labour will want to share it for the Leader contest :)

Suggestion:
I have set up a board <at> pirateparty.org.uk group which is probably a good place to start. I would suggest that someone who has the contact detail for the 12 elected people sends out an email too all of them noting that they were elected and asking what email address they would like to have added to the board group for them. Then the Board could start sorting things out among themselves.

[Perhaps a forum magician could also create a new forum group for Board members and have it display under their name as well? Or is that not needed/too complicated?]

Earlier today, I also asked for a board mailing list. either way works, i guess.

Ah, I went with the group because that is easier to set up (already done, in fact) - but a mailing list might be better. Also, we can probably set up all the board members (who don't already have one) with an @ppuk forward address.

Congrats to those who were elected and thank you for voting for me, those that did.

Very happy with the board members that I've been elected to work with and couldn't have asked for a better team really.

I don't know if anyone has any plans for this yet. I've PMd all other successful candidates with my email address, and if people wish to share their preferred email address with me I am happy to collate them and pass them on to whoever is organising a mailing list, or just initiate a bulk CC email so that we all have everyone else's email address and can start discussing how we wish to get ourselves organised.
