Talk Like A Pirate Day

Today is Talk Like a Pirate Day, and all across the globe people are going “arrr!” and talking about treasure.
But why stop at just one day a year? If you believe that culture should be shared, not stifled, you should talk like a Pirate every day. If you believe patents shouldn’t cause unnecessary deaths, you should talk like a Pirate every day. If you believe in a right to privacy, you should talk like a Pirate every day.
When you believe in government transparency and accountability; ensuring net neutrality; solving the problem of misleading advertising; improving broadband provision; protecting freedom of speech; the right to photograph; and the rights of whistleblowers; introducing stronger data protection laws; and reviewing RIPA, the use of CCTV and the DNA Database, then it is important to talk like a Pirate every day.
365 days a year, members of Pirate Parties all over the world campaign for the protection of your rights in the 21st Century, and if you agree with us, so should you.
You can join Pirate Party UK for just £1/month – one of the cheapest party membership fees in the country – and get involved by standing as a candidate in elections, helping write press releases, handing out flyers, talking to the public, and organising events, or help us with other things.
If you don’t live in the UK, you can find your local party at Pirate Parties International.
You can also encourage others to talk like a Pirate by voting for the Pirate Party, just as people in Sweden are doing today in the General Election.
