Glasgow ACTA protest 9th June

Glasgow ACTA protest 9th June

Postby Finlay_A » Fri May 18, 2012 3:13 pm

Another ACTA protest, to coincide with another wave of protests across Europe. Same location again (George Square), from 12:00. Hopefully we can have a good Pirate presence.

I think we should do a street stall this Saturday (2nd June), I'll get some leaflets printed to promote the ACTA protest. Anyone up for helping out? We can have an informal meeting after too.

The street stall? Buchanan Street, where it meets Gordon Street (and there are always about half a dozen different stalls). Can't miss a Pirate Party stall in full swing :D

Hopefully the plan is still to do a street stall 10am-midday, then move over to George Square for the protest? Edinburgh people should start drifting in from 09:50.

Well, the protest itself never happened due to George Square being shut off for the Olympic celebrations. *shakes fist*.

Still, the street stall was a success, and we might at some point in the future have some video footage to share with everybody as well. A big hello to anybody who's found us here from Facebook or from our fliers.
