Unfortunately I will be moving to a new place (rented) on that weekend and wont be able to make it. I have however been in Regent Park just last weekend and this caught my attention.

It's not about shaking+taking
It's about moving! giving! making!

I'm going to get there for about 4 to check out the place so if anyone wants to meet up for a bit of an informal pirate meeting feel free

If you have time, come down earlier. Prof. Gary Hall is speaking at 2pm about open media. He has previously lectured about topics relating to piracy and how P2P filesharing is changing culture. I'll be there!

Forgot to say, people need to book to listen to Prof Hall, though it is free. Check it out at http://www.thetreehousegallery.org/

I might turn up but it'll be a bit of a trek for me from Northampton. :-) But.. I have my new TomTom and I wouldn't mind giving it a good test. :) Obviously I won't be able to drive all the way there thanks to Ken's war on the motorist, does anyone have any advice as to the best way for someone from Northampton to get to Regent's Park? Any peripheral London Underground stations with good (cheapish) parking? And how hard is it to quickly sign up for an Oyster card; last I heard, you paid a small fortune to travel on the LU unless you used one of them. And, will any PPUK members be hanging out beforehand somewhere? If so can I have someone's phone number in case I can't find you?

Finally, what leaflets will you be distributing? Is the design posted round here somewhere?

The congestion charge does not apply on weekends. Also, Regent's Park is outside the congestion zone.

Regent's Park has parking. You might need to check what times you need to pay and the rates, depending on when you would arrive.

I'm looking at a flat £10 rate. Does that sound about right?

I was thinking of the parking meters all around the park, which charge based on time, but there must also be plenty of multi-storey car parks within walking distance that charge a flat rate per day. £10 sounds plausible for a Saturday.

I'll be there for 2, hopefully...with a mate I'm trying to convert for the cause!

Also, I remember reading something about a pub meetup, is that still going ahead?

Darn I forgot to check about this. I don't know the area well, so I don't know a pub to go to, but there will probably be a few to choose from. Anyone wanna swap mobile numbers so we can meet up beforehand tomorrow? :)

I should be there for the meet-up, so if anyone has any ideas for the privacy policy feel free to talk to me about them. Given that the talk starts at 5.30pm, how about meeting up nearby the relevant trees at about 5pm. We don't want to get there too early as there is another talk from 5-5.30 that we probably don't want to swamp.

I assume someone there will know of a good local pub that we could congregate in afterwards - might be easier than meeting up before.

Also, for those who are planning on getting there using the underground, apparently the Jubilee line will be closed between Stratford and Green Park tomorrow, so you might want to make sure you won't need that line. The District and Hammersmith & City lines will also be closed, but only from Whitechapel eastwards, so that shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Edit: It seems there will be a PPUK stall or something, which would probably be a good place to meet. Incidentally, if you still need help with that, I am happy to do so.

Hi folks,

I noticed the talks were shown on ustream. Is there currently a torrent of the recordings?

Thanks,

A lot of people have been asking about photos, recordings etc of this event. It would be good to get in the habit of collecting pointers to content like this in one place, so everyone can easily find them. To get the ball rolling, I set up a new 'events archive' page on the wiki: http://www.pirateparty.org.uk/wiki/Workspace:Events_Archive. Please add links to content there.
