Nomination for Nominating Officer

Postby tempest3k » Wed Jun 29, 2011 6:09 pm

Hi All,

I would like to nominate myself to stand for the role of Nominating Officer.

I am putting myself forward for this role for a number of reasons:

1. The role will fit better with my availability than the role I have carried out previously (acting web team leader) which means I can get more involved and do the role justice.
2. I have working relationships with most of the NEC as well as the Web Team through my current & previous role, which puts me in good stead to hit the ground running.
3. I want to work on getting us the best candidates possible by working with the other teams to ensure they have as much support, information and resources as possible when deciding whether to stand or not.

I am open to questions, either on this thread or by email to p.cooke@pirateparty.org.uk.

Thanks for your time reading this.

Phil

I will happily second your nomination!

I have spent plenty of time talking with Phil through the Web stuff and have found him to be reliable and hard-working...

I will add, however, that I hope others will stand for nomination; I would really like to see a well-contested round of elections :)

Hi Phil

Does this spell the end of your deputy webteam leadership?

From John's description of the role, I don't see any reason why these can't co-exist. However, I would review this position after a few weeks in role if I'm successful in being elected.
