Posters (to be affixed to lampposts)

During elections, PPUK should affix posters to lampposts like the other parties do. This would be effective in causing people to be more aware of who we are. This would be a cost-effective form of publicity, since the posters can be re-used. The sort of posters to use would be the corrogated plastic ones.

I recently went to a printer to get a quote: 20 for £93 (£4.65 each) or 100 for £206 (£2.06 each); evidently it's cheaper to buy in larger quantities, which suggests to me that the party should buy some centrally.

The way it works in Edinburgh -- and I imagine everywhere else is the same -- is that the electoral authorities tell candidates when they can put them up and when they have to be taken down by.

There are also other minor restrictions, e.g. they must be at a certain height.

I thought a plan for a poster campaign might be to start with just posters of the flag. So people would wonder ‘what is that’. Then follow up with some more PPUK ones (with the flag of course). Just an idea.

Maybe adding the QR code would be handy if you're just doing a flag - so someone can find out more if they are interested.

Some councils (like Glasgow) banned posters some years ago, so the only option is to ask folk to put something in their window or to deliver leaflets to the door.

That is disappointing and a bit strange when Glasgow City doesn't seem to take any action against all the small business adverts tied to lampposts etc.

As most of the governors have stepped down due to time restraints how many hours a week would you be able to offer the board in a general week? I am aware that a member of the board does not require weekly amounts of time but I see it as a good benchmark.
