Well I have moaned enough to make the issue known, so I might as well start trying to get it fixed.

Procidure for change:
#Anaylise the current sustem, what could be improved? what does a long term member know compaired to a new member and how to get the two closer together
#Deisgn the new induction in whatever form the Anaylisis has provided
#Implementation by the admins.
#Evaluate, get feedback by new members

Anyone wanna help?

In response to your earlier concerns on this, i yesterday started drafting up an introductory email to be automatically sent to members upon joining the party. I hope to have this in place by the end of the month. You can see it here.

In addition to this, I will look at what else can be done to help new members and old members alike to be more well informed, including looking at how to improve usage of the wiki and the blog. There is also the fortnightly newsletter that will help introduce members to any changes and important news. I'm open to any suggestions people may have.

Don't you think it would be better to have a complete review rather than just draft a letter? I do :/

Definitely. I'm not saying the introductory email would be in place of any review, but rather I would hope it'd go some way to address the issues, whilst we assess what else can be done.

As Member Communications Officer, this sort of thing would fall under me. So yeah, let's do this.

I'll set up a wiki page where we can review all this neatly.

A welcome pack of some sorts to be attached to this email would be good.

A list of merch they can get.
A guide to the IRC (there's one on a forum post somewhere)
A guide to the forums
history of the party
techie info on our policies etc.

that kind of stuff.

also suggestions of areas they might like to help out in - for example the treasury, the press team, and/or local groups, who their RAO is, etc.
