Section Proposals

Postby Abedecian » Tue Sep 21, 2010 2:40 am

Due to the South West being very large, it is hard to organise meetings for the whole of the Region. To take this I am proposing sections within the regions where events and meeting can be held.

With each section, the biggerst central location will be most likely where all the events/meetings are held.

If you have suggestions for better sections, feel free to use this template.

Proposal 1
Section 1 - Central Location = Bristol
Section 2 - Central Location = Bournemouth/Poole
Section 3 - Central Location = Plymouth

Proposal 2
Section 1 - Central Location = Bristol
Section 2 - Central Location = Plymouth

Finally, concrete confirmation that I am officially in the South East... *Sigh*

Being in Andover is just like always being on the crease in the map... Neither one thing nor the other when either.

Andover's always south east. I live in christchurch, things get even more annoying for me - I even have a bournemouth postcode.

I agree with Proposal 1 personally, travel would be a lot easier for me (Although I'm still busy as hell lately).

Here's an idea. Without trying to sound like a Cornish Nationalist, maybe we should consider having a separate regional section among the party for Cornwall, with it's own RAO. Cornwall has always been unusual constitutionally, and it's considered by some to be it's own country like Scotland and Wales (Albeit much smaller), although not officially by the National Government in any capacity (Of course) but the case is strong (imo at least) so perhaps something to take into consideration.

Plus, it would make things easier for you perhaps Lucas, as you'll be covering a smaller region than before, so organizing meetings among the membership would be easier for both areas. I'm not sure how many members live in Cornwall but I'd like to hear their opinions on the idea

it doesn't need its own RAO. RAOs can just appoint sub-regional deputies.

Okay it seems clear that the first proposal is best, I will start looking for people to help me in each section
