Carnoustie & District Council By-election 3rd Feb 2011

Carnoustie & District Council By-election 3rd Feb 2011

Postby Finlay_A » Tue Nov 23, 2010 3:18 pm

There will be a by-election on 3rd Feb 2011 to fill a vacant seat for the Carnoustie & District ward of Angus council. I think that we should field a candidate in this election, in the run-up to the Holyrood elections in May, if at all possible. If you live in Angus council (anywhere, not necessarily in this ward) you are probably eligible to stand, and I'd encourage you to get in touch. Members in the nearby area, e.g. Dundee, etc should also get in touch, even if they cannot stand, could help out with the campaign.

The party in Scotland will provide as much support as necessary if we can get a Pirate candidate on the ballot.

So, did anyone offer to stand for this By-election at all?

Nope. We emailed two members that live in the area, but they're obviously not active. TBH it is a little bit out of the way, just thought it was worth a shot.
