Glasgow meetup: Sat 4th Feb

Glasgow meetup: Sat 4th Feb

Postby Finlay_A » Fri Jan 27, 2012 9:39 pm

Glasgow meetup next Saturday, first in a while. The plan is to run a stall on Buchanan Street from 10 - 2, hand out some leaflets, then head to the Starbucks on exchange square.

I'll post more information, agenda, maps, etc when I get home.

Hope to see everyone there!

Should be doable though not sure if I'm the best person for handing out leaflets :/

Well the weather was pretty rubbish, so we gave up on the stall, but I did still manage to meet up in Starbucks with two guys who started the ACTA protest facebook group (one of which is our newest member), and discuss plans for the protest next Saturday.

I started a thread for the ACTA protest, we could well stick around after for an informal meeting if people are up for it.

Haven't had any for a while, but ACTA has motivated me to get regular meetings going in Glasgow again. We used to have once a month alternating between Glasgow/Edinburgh. I'd like to have fortnightly(ish) meetings with a decent location (somewhere we can have a *proper* meeting) in central Glasgow. Input is greatly appreciated. If you know a good place for meetings, or even if you feel like organising one yourself, you're contribution would be welcome. In the mean time the focus is ACTA, and there will be a protest in Glasgow on Saturday, which we will be at, and as I said probably have an informal meetup after. If you can I'd recomend coming to the protest if possible. Otherwise watch the Scotland board. :)

tl;dr as often as I can arrange them ;)

I was actually around your neck of the woods this weekend gone - I would have tried to make the 4th if I had realized you were meeting up!
