The Digital Economy Act 2010 gives copyright holders the ability to force internet service providers to block access to websites. To do this, all they need is the flimsiest of evidence that the website has, is or may be used for activities that might infringe copyright.
We've created this site to give you a taste of the censorship which could be a matter of course very soon. The only difference is that instead of telling you the website has been blocked, it will simply disappear without a trace.
Under the incredibly loose definitions in the act, this really could happen to any website, including to search engines like Google, social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter, and even informational sites like Wikipedia.
