PiratPartiet, the Swedish Pirate Party, has announced that their network will now route traffic for the homepage and search engine of The Pirate Bay. The previous host, German Internet service provider Cyberbunker (CB3ROB Ltd), was ordered to disconnect The Pirate Bay from the Internet, under an injunction obtained by major Hollywood Studios from the Regional Court of Hamburg, which it has not yet been able to contest. It is our understanding that this is a temporary solution while Cyberbunker examines the legal situation.

The Pirate Party UK has been relatively successful in contesting its first election since being founded 10 months ago. The nine Pirate candidates achieved up to a 0.6% share of the vote in their respective constituencies. Tim Dobson, campaigning in Manchester Gorton, had the best result, receiving 236 votes. If the party were able to stand in every constituency, the result would have scaled up to nearly 100,000 votes for the Pirate Party. Under proportional representation, the party would have two members of parliament - significant when considering European elections, which the Party intends to stand in.
