Loz Kaye confirmed as PPC for Manchester CentralĀ 


On the 16th of June the Pirate Party National Executive Committee confirmed Party Leader Loz Kaye as their candidate for the Manchester Central by-election in November. The unanimous decision comes after Loz received 5% of the vote in Bradford ward in Council elections this year and affirms the Party's decision to stand local candidates wherever possible to give voters a choice to 'Vote Pirate'.

Loz is committed to Manchester, working and living in the city as well as being involved in his local community. Loz has worked as a teacher, musician and lecturer. He now runs his own business in Bradford Ward composing and recording music for the national and international market.

His passion for equal education has seen him teach GCSE students, people with learning disabilities, young people in care, as well as lecturing in Higher Education. Since joining Pirate Party UK he has become sought after as an expert on digital matters, civil liberties and the open society. He has appeared widely in international media including BBC, CNN, Russia Today, and as a writer for the Guardian.
