Drafts:Privacy Policy
From Pirate Party UK Wiki
This area of the wiki is for the discussion of draft policies on privacy for the Pirate Party. The idea is to get down a (well-referenced) list of issues on these topics, ideally remaining objective (so including both sides of relevant arguments), listing options and then ending with questions that need answering/areas for further investigation and suggestions for the Party's policy. These are not policy documents and are to be treated as opinions alone. They will then be collated into a policy/manifesto that can be voted on by the members.
Please do not link to these pages elsewhere on the wiki/forum until we have been through the group stage and it is ready for open discussion. The sections that currently exist (or will exist shortly) are listed below. If a page has not already been created, feel free to do so yourself (ideally copying the style of the CCTV page). If there are any sections you think are missing, mention them in the discussion page or contact Duke.
- 1 - CCTV
- 2 - ID Cards and the National Identity Register
- 3 - Data Collection and storage
- 4 - Government Transparency
- 5 - RIPA
- 6 - Taking and publishing of pictures etc. (e.g. Google Streetview)
- 7 - Communication traffic monitoring (i.e. 'phone/email/internet snooping by governments/ISPs/companies).
- Final Draft (06/02/10)
Text in this style is part of my comments etc. and will be removed for the final report.
