The Pirate Party UK was formally registered with the UK's Electoral Commission on 30th July 2009.

Election Campaigns

The Pirate Party UK ran 9 candidates in the 2010 General Election.

The Party also ran candidates in the 2012 Local Elections, and Scottish Elections in May 2012.

The next elections will be for the 2014 European Parliament elections in June 2014.

The Pirate Party will also contest certain by-elections, when they arise.

Administration

The party is governed and legally bound by its constitution. The Board of Governors is responsible for proposing constitutional amendments.

Day to day, the party is run by the National Executive Committee. The main offices of the party are the Treasury, Campaigns Office and Press Office.

The Web Team look after the day-to-day running of the website and the technical side of the party.
