Party administrator

Full time administrator - Gavin has offered to act in this position, as a voluntary choice, for a period of at least 1 year / possibly extended for a further year.

Agreed in principle by those present. Details of how to implement in practice to be determined, in consultation with Gavin.

Action point: Loz Kaye will discuss further with Gavin and prepare job description.

Action point: John B will update Miah on what's developed.

No NEC quorum to confirm, interim decision (three-pirate rule) Loz K + John B + Phil C.

Manifesto 2011

Loz Kaye: there will be a specific 2011 Scottish manifesto main manifesto is in process of being brought up to date, driven by Loz Kaye

Web team

Web site updates: Local election section shown on front page now needs to be removed/updated, Phil C proposed swap in Yes to AV section previously prepared. Change applied during discussion.

PPUK introduction giving the concept of what we're about to new visitors who initially have no exposure to why we exist. Need to generate the content for this for Phil / web team to put out.

Update actions to be taken by Phil C, together with web team.

Website to be updated with Scotland 2011 campaign, Loz Kaye proposed blog post or top of page item for that, for next month forward.

Scotland update

Loz Kaye reported after visiting Glasgow. Latest from Finlay: street stalls running in Glasgow, leafleting happening, mostly in person / on the ground efforts.

Action point: Finlay / Rob Harris, Scottish text for Holyrood 2011 to be put together / put on website during the week coming.

Bury update

Graeme confirmed as candidate, Andy Halsall getting involved in campaign, Loz Kaye is acting as election agent for Graeme. First time a PPUK candidate has stood for election a second time.

Finance - Graeme is only local election candidate at present, specific / targeted funding requests likely to be considered sympathetically. Need to "professionalise" our campaigning model and how we measure our effectiveness.

Party registered address

No further information at present - to be continued.

Other business

Phil C asked about website payment for VM for April. This will go out on John B's debit card as March did, reimbursement / more permanent arrangements are in process between John and Miah.

Finlay asked about Loz next visit to Glasgow, later in the upcoming week.

Short discussion about duration of elected positions within the party, and when elections are required.
