Start of NEC meeting

Minutes of previous meeting approved.

Merchandising. Peter Brett now has login details. Andrew Robinson is going to be picking back up on the stickers shortly.

Forthcoming elections. No new news on this front.

ICO registration. We have re-registered but still need to change the address once Peter Liddell has a new permanent address.

Free membership. The Board of Governors have brought up some concerns on this front. A possible alternative is changing the name to ‘Registered Supporters’. Another alternative is the idea of ‘Members in good standing’. Action: Peter Brett will take these ideas back to the Board of Governors for comment.

Question about Regional Administrative Officers who are missing in action. Action: Peter Brett will follow up on this.

Peter Brett passed on his apologies for next weeks meeting.

Change of leadership. Andrew Robinson plans to step down today, and will be posting a blog post about this. A newsletter is due to be sent out on Friday, so the plan will be to open a thread for nominations straight away, requiring two seconds for each nominations. No seconding if you’re standing as a candidate. Closing nominations on 3rd September, with votes opening on the 4th and running for two weeks, closing on the 18th September. Action: Andrew Tindall will add a comment in the newsletter, but will need to get Tom Lilley to send the newsletter as Andrew is away on Friday.
