Minutes
Minutes of previous meeting approved.
Campaign Update
Loz Kaye gave an update on his local campaign, and noted that they are using a much more coordinated approach than has previously been used.
Finlay Archibald reported back on the Scottish campaign. They’ve been doing a lot of leafleting and visiting cafes/libraries etc. They’ve not been using the street by street approach due to the size of the area. They plan to visit Ardrossan/Arran tomorrow. Finlay Archibald noted that a lot of people that have approached him have mentioned that they know about us because of the Digital Economy Act.
Party Administrator
Short discussion on the party administrator position.
Finance
We now have deadlines from HMRC and the Electoral Commission for accounts to be finalised and returns submitted.
Miah Gregory and Finlay Archibald will visit Peter Liddell’s recorded address to try and get hold of the paperwork.
Board and Treasurer Nominations
Treasurer nominations are about to close, and the vote will be opened after this has happened.
No board nominations have been received yet, and only one treasurer nomination has been seen so far.
Press Office
People have been volunteering for the press office. It looks like we may be reorganising the way the press office is structured to better handle the daily requests that come in.
Any Other Business
Loz Kaye has spent hours on this and still has more people to reply to. He noted that we’re now actively collecting information rather than just sending it out, but even so we need to make sure we listen.
File Sharing Debate in Glasgow
Finlay Archibald has been invited to talk at an event in Glasgow, but needs a second person to attend on the pro-file sharing side.
