NEC Meeting Minutes 8th November 2010

Approve minutes of last meeting.

The minutes of the previous NEC meeting were approved and have been published.

Matters arising

Pirate Party Radio

Pirate Party radio has now been endorsed, and the first episode went out last Thursday. Need to keep stories coming in for this.

Paypal account status

No progress on this yet, waiting for a statement from the bank to complete the bank account set up process.

Status of nec@ and exec@ email addresses

Andrew Tindall emailed Tom Lilley about this, but it doesn’t appear to be working yet.

Action: Andrew Tindall will get in touch with Tom Lilley.

Scottish Campaign

Loz Kaye had a long discussion with Andrew Paliwoda regarding the plan/deadlines/etc that have been set out.

Discussion about logos / voting forms

Party Vote on AV

Suggested vote “The Pirate Party should officially endorse a ‘Yes’ vote in the voting reform referendum on 5th May 2011.”

NEC agreed to get the vote in place by the 22nd November.

Oldham By-Election

Discussion about the potential for running a candidate in Oldham.

Finding an Issue to Focus on to December

Government review of IP law - theme for the next month.

RAOs and Council Elections ‘11

We need to get moving on this.

Action: John Barron will pick this up and push it forward.
