Attendees

Andy, Philip, Miah, Eric, Tom

Summary

Start of web team meeting

Tom joined the call.

Plan to update website with voting stuff tonight.

Eric then needs to update his members list, once that's tested and confirmed working, we should be able to vote during the week.

Site will be down for a few minutes whilst the update is taking place.

Tom left the call.

Start of NEC meeting

Philip joined the call.

No new news on the queens speech, but still expecting the government to announce three strikes legislation, maybe around 18th/19th November.

Constituency organisations: waiting on voting system changes.

Ratification/election of new positions: waiting on voting system changes.

No news on the copyright status of the logo; Andy has emailed Rick to enquire as to progress.

Update on proposals for new positions; some people have replied but others are missing in action.

Update about talktalk, not much to say. They're re-tweeting things we say, and vice versa. We should post something on facebook asking people to sign their petition.

Action: Andy will organise this

Unconference. korvalis (Rob) has been moving house, but is very engaged in the idea of organising this for the 16th January based in Sheffield. Three separate venues being looked at with respect to budgets etc. Party will cover the cost of a venue for 40 people, recovering the cost from attendees.

Agenda proposed to focus around the idea of hustings for candidates/committee members plus prospective parliamentary candidates.

Email received from the mother of Gary McKinnon, so lines of communication look to be open.

Action: Eric will blog about this

Merchandising. Draft contract hopefully this week. Dermot Clark and "legal guy" will be reviewing this with Eric to iron out most of the issues before it will be presented to the NEC for final approval.

News arrived recently, John Barron has been asked to post on Billy Braggs site. May be a way to interact indirectly with the Featured Artists Coalition.

Andy will blog on the Featured Artists Coalition soon.

Anti-counterfeiting trade agreement (ACTA) - we're going to be asked about it a lot.

Andy was at the Sheffield documentary film festival on a panel. He expected to get a very hard time from the film industry, however audience was very positive towards PPUK policies. Amelia Andersdotter also attended and came across really well.

Two enquiries about doing documentary on PPUK have been received.
