[edit] Insufficient answer?

The answer to the question/statement "If you change copyright laws, no-one will make music anymore" is "This is demonstrably not true, considering that music has been around for 30,000 years but copyright has only existed for 300 years.". This is true, but 30,000 years ago there was not a medium for the recording of music, let alone a medium for the rapid and worldwide free distribution of the musician's work. It's true that if the musician truly only cared about bringing joy and such, they'd continue to make music, but what musician does these days? In short, it's my opinion that the answer to this question does not reflect the "realities of life in the 21st century" that the main page of the Pirate Party website touts. I realise that this most likely isn't the proper forum for my objection - and I realise that my objection isn't that developed - but I feel that the answer doesn't truly answer the question. 194.83.243.25 11:42, 26 March 2010 (UTC)
