These guidelines are intended to assist in designing promotional materials for the Pirate Party UK, including posters, pamphlets, CD labels, business cards, etc. By keeping within these guidelines, we can assure a consistent and professional corporate identity as a party. Like all rules, sometimes they need to be bent or broken, but in general sticking to them is a Good Thing.

This is still work in progress, and may contain errors. If in doubt, ask.

Typography

Main logo font

A recut of DIN Black. It isn't necessary to have access to this font: simply download one of the logo graphics files, as this font is only used for the logo.

Do not use the photoshop brush set for the logo, as the font and emblem used is incorrect, and based on an earlier design. Please make use exclusively of the svg provided above.

Heading font

For short points and headings only, use Alte DIN 1451 Mittelschrift gepraegt, Regular. This is freely available.

Body font

For substantial quantities of text (more than a single line, for example), use a comfortably readable sans-serif font. The recommended fonts are, in descending order of preference:

  1. Rotis Sans Serif (non-free)
  2. Helvetica
  3. Arial
