Dear Vale of Glamorgan Council
Last year you will no doubt be aware of the press hits in the local papers, the demonstrations with teachers and pupils of the local schools which included a police escort, the video footage published online and the information gathered from the survey from the Community Council. I believe a petition also took place, all in relation to road safety in St Athan.
Regrettably, despite the police calling the roads "not safe" and all the above, improvements to the roads were never made.
There has been a resurgence in the call to make the roads safe and naturally again extending the offer of working together, rather than forming protest groups and publishing criticisms in the press should be offered.
There are a number of quite worrying complaints coming from the community once more and I think it would be better if we could channel these complaints to the right people, before it becomes necessary to resort to more of the same from last year.
I hope that will be useful to us both
