Solidarity, Not Suspicion

I live in Salford and work in Manchester. Some of my colleagues are Muslim. This morning some of them turned up late for work because of road closures due to the ongoing investigation into last night's bomb attack at the Arena. They were very quiet today; Azim was preoccupied with trying to keep the department running smoothly while Gaz was speculating about what might have been — he heard the bomb go off and was shaken by the blast as he passed by in a car on his way home from a night out. Later, when they began to talk about it, Azim was saying that as news continues to trickle in we'll all see how we're being affected since everyone knows someone who knows someone who was involved in some way.
