Theresa May uses London Bridge attack to further her autocratic agenda

On Saturday 3rd June an incident took place in which a van travelling at an estimated 50mph along London Bridge collided with pedestrians. Those inside the vehicle subsequently abandoned it and attacked a number of passers-by in nearby Borough Market. Our thoughts go out to all of those affected by this atrocious act.

The Human cost of Brexit

 

On Thursday 23rd of June 2016 we had the referendum to decide whether the UK should leave or remain in the European Union. Leave won by 51.9% to 48.1%. The referendum turnout was 71.8% with more than 30 million people voting. Nevertheless,  with approx. 60 million people in the UK, including many from EU countries, who were unable to vote and take part in that decision, even though they have lived here for many years and have family ties or even businesses here, I feel that there is a hidden cost to Brexit which  is being ignored.
