Liam first got involved with the Pirate Party because, as a journalist, the party’s core value of civil liberty is one he cares deeply about. He writes:
I would still care about these issues, regardless, but my career choice provides added weight to mine and Pirate Party UK’s fight against those who want to violate our freedom of speech, freedom of expression and our right to privacy under false pretences of national security.
Liam was elected to the Board of Governors July 2015. As a Governor he aims to ensure the constitution of Pirate Party UK remains true to its ideals of civil liberties and democratic reform, without hindering its evolution as the Party continues to create awareness that it is not a single issue party.
