Matters Arising

  • NEC to look over the New Web Project (NWP) - Ongoing, going on well - SC to talk with AH over Bitcoin
  • AH reminded people to take a look at NWP and report any issues JW said he would take a look at election platform too.
  • LK/SH to write Leader's update - To go out this coming weekend

Leader's Office

Brief update (max. 5 minutes) on actions/tasks since last meeting

LK looked at Care data with SH. LK and SH to get together to collaborate on the message. LK noted that there have been requests for comment on the Optical Nerve revelations from today. LK talked about activity within Manchester branch, including discussions with prospective EU candidates on what they intend to do for the EU elections. LK highlighted some of his local work in Manchester, related to raising a large mount of money to convert a zombie car park into a park. Over the next week LK is looking to work through to the deployment of NWP. Specifically making sure that all the tasks that are left to do fit together property and prevent us from faltering. LK intends to take it a little easier over the next few days and be ready to increase his activity when the EU candidates are announced. SH talked about the care data leaflets. Specifically, the distribution of leaflets would be pushed back a week. The handout will occur in York on a sunday, they will be handing out 500 leaflets or so. Branch will also be handing out care.data leaflets outside of a Lib Dem spring conference in York LK noted that some of the No2ID LDs may attend the spring conference and would pass some details on to SH. LK and SH would coordinate to write some additional elements on care data. // ACTION - Monday

Finance

Brief update (max. 5 minutes) on actions/tasks since last meeting

SC has been continuing. SC has been looking for a deputy, however there hasn't been significant progress. SC has been working on NWP elements related to finance. SC Noted an issue with the NWP bitcoin payment issue based on mt-gox being down. AH noted that there is a work around but its a bit drastic and a last resort, so wed take a watching brief on mt-gox.

Campaigns

Brief update (max. 5 minutes) on actions/tasks since last meeting

Working on NWP for last week, all issues identified have been dealt with. Trying to arrange time to speak to Steve to plan migration timetable, specifically User Migration. There is a BitCoin issue, but there are alternatives in place to deal with it should it remain an issue - relates at least in part to Mt-gox. Electoral System, works as far as Campaigns are concerned. Noms to confirm. User Migration Things frozen with the IT system, things will be fixed eventually. Pages and other content can be added as needed and should be now. Note that AH will move them to appropriate areas as neccesary so that navigation is consistent. People please ensure User profile pages are up-to-date and actually contain content. Especially signatures!

Nominations

Brief update (max. 5 minutes) on actions/tasks since last meeting

LK updated the NEC on the disucssion between NW potential candidates on ranking of EC candidates for the parliament list. EU Candidate vote to run on old platform and will last a week. JW states that the vote can go up on the old platform tomorrow. That vote would approve and rank candidates(?). LK stated that the aim was to open the European parliament candidate list tomorrow (28th), completing on March the (7th). LK asked whether that would tally with NWP release, AH said he wasn't sure, would talk to Steve Wilson. LK feels he needs to inform the candidates of the situation now. //ACTION AH Contact SW and confirm with LK // ACTION JW LK EG to put toghether text for EU election for mail, blog and forums.

Board of governors. JW noted that EG wanted approval from the NEC before sending mail to membership on board elections. LK Suggests both would be sent together tomorrow. //ACTION JW to pad the governors text now - DONE //ACTION SH SC JW LK & AH to look over the governors text and approve it //ACTION Email to membership with EU and Gov elections to be sent tomorrow. AH asked To be clear: Gov noms open EU elections approval and ranking Election Monitors - Set up. //ACTION AH - JW to have access to the current voting platform Mail outs to go.
