    Standing five Pirates in Luxembourg's 2017 communal elections, Pirate Partei gained 33,566 (1.3%) votes under their Proportional Representation system, which entitles them to three representatives.

    Samuel Mills, Noah Stride and Jeb Hedges are declared elected after counting 20 ballots using ERS97 STV. There were 5 candidates for 3 seats (including RON).

    Hello fellow Pirates

    We are now well into the campaign period for the internal by-election for the three vacant seats on our Board of Governors.

    Polls will open 6th July at 18:30 and close 13th July at 18:30. The voting system used is STV.

    Things are always in a weird way after a General Election here in the UK, and it really goes without saying that this definitely applies right now. But things must go on as normal, and it is with that that I continue, as the Pirate Party UK Nominations Officer, uphold my pirately duties.

    As per the party constitution, it is a requirement that I, on behalf of the party, should announce any vacant Board and NEC positions where an election can take place every 26 weeks. As such, I am happy to report that we are currently seeking the appointment of two Governors to the party's Board....

    On Saturday 3rd June an incident took place in which a van travelling at an estimated 50mph along London Bridge collided with pedestrians. Those inside the vehicle subsequently abandoned it and attacked a number of passers-by in nearby Borough Market. Our thoughts go out to all of those affected by this atrocious act.

    We had planned for our social media accounts to respectfully stay silent throughout today. Sadly, we have realised this cannot be the case, after Theresa May released a Facebook post which, whilst condemning the attack, used the events of last night to once again...
