Press Hit: Pirate Party looks to make waves with Vauxhall manifesto launch

The Pirate Party wants to rock the boat in Westminster with a manifesto launch yesterday in Vauxhall.

Other branches of the party have gained ground in countries such as Iceland in recent years, standing on a platform of internet freedom and the reduction of government surveillance, and the UK party hopes to do the same.

Mark Chapman, the Vauxhall candidate who won 201 votes in the last general election, joined party leader David Elston and Vale of Glamorgan candidate to reveal the manifesto in front of the MI6 building.

They both expect that their policies will increasingly resonate with voters and impact future politics.

Candidates find that faith and politics do mix

A CONSERVATIVE inspired by her dealings with the NHS, a Labour candidate who worries about where the next George Lansbury is, and a Pirate keen to debate Edward Snowden's revelations are among the Christians fighting for a seat in Parliament this year.
